Our farm is situated just outside the picturesque village of Wakkerstroom on the foot of the Versamel Mountains, less than 4 hours from Johannesburg, Pretoria and Nelspruit. It is a wonderful place to stop over en-route to or from the Drakensberg, Kruger Park, various Kwa-Zulu Natal National Parks and the Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal coast, as well as being the perfect destination to rest, relax and soothe your soul.
Kindly note that while we do not offer trout fishing on the farm, there are a number of dams in close proximity that guests can visit for angling and fly-fishing.

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere is this absolute gem of a place! Peace and tranquility, with beautiful sunrises, rich bird life, and everything you could ask for in terms of accommodation. And those breakfasts!!! Five stars. I will recommend Forellenhof to everyone. Thank you Ronelle and Johan.
